Do You Suffer From Any of These Symptoms an animation about domesticity, inertia and t.v. presents a slightly stale, askew, low-tech looking interior space occupied by amorphous figures. The piece includes stop-motion shot in digital video as well as computer generated motion, ink drawings and images rendered in the computer. DYSFATS is inspired in part by Ernie Kovacs' exploitation of the television set as frame, by Andy Kaufman's exploitation of the cheap aesthetic of a lot of t.v.and the use of self-reference in both of their television shows. |
